The Agumar hotel is situated next to the Parque del Retiro; 200 metres from the Atocha-AVE railway station. The El Prado Art Gallery; Queen Sofia Art Centre and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Gallery; San Jeronimo el Real and the Botanical Garden are all in the vicinity.

There are 245 rooms and suites at the Agumar Hotel which have been individually decorated and styled throughout. The full range of modern facilities offered include air-conditioning; TV with video channel; direct dial telephone; fax/modem connection; safety deposit box and mini bar. The hotel also has room service; parking facilities and a disco. The Agumar Hotel has seven fully equipped function rooms which can cater for up to 250 guests; complete with cafeteria and restaurant service. The Salon Ingles (English Hall) is ideal for business meetings or as a private dining room.

Location: The Agumar Hotel is in Madrid; Spain. It is 15km from the airport and has access to the city's public transport network with bus; train and underground stations nearby.

Madrid is a very accessible and lively city with a fabulous night life and visitors can enjoy its many restaurants; bars; and clubs. The Museo del Prado is one of Madrid's most famous attractions and one that few visitors would want to miss. Spanish Art is well represented by Velazquez; Goya and El Greco as well as minor artists such as de Ribera and Murillo. Along with a fair number of Flemish and Italian masters one visit may not be enough. A short stroll from Puerta del Sol; Madrid's official central point; lies Plaza Mayor; a popular venue over the centuries for royal festivities and bullfights; and today home to many open-air cafes. The massive Palacio Real has over 2;800 rooms but only 50 are open to the public. Worth a visit for the Throne Room with its ornate crimson walls and Tiepolo celing. At the end of the day; take a gentle stroll in Parque del Buen Retiro; Madrid's loveliest public garden; and admire the artificial lake and Egyptian Fountain.
