El Recinto Ferial Casa de Campo, Madrid

Congress centre in Madrid's Casa de Campo

This unique Convention Centre is situated in the sunny heart of the 'lungs' of Madrid – the Casa de Campo – a large park that is five minutes walk from the central Plaza de España.

The grounds of Recinto Ferial cover 67 hectares, with 47,000 m2 of open air space and another 40,000m² of indoor space. Both these areas are spread throughout a variety of multi-purpose and malleable pavilions, where covered spaces may be combined with open air spaces if desired.

The convention centre has a ground floor, mezzanine and top floor as well as a 1,830 capacity cafeteria with an independent street entrance. It is a sought after site for holding events such as fairs, conventions, exhibitions, meetings and concerts. The Recinto Ferial de la Casa de Campo includes the Madrid Arena, home of the Madrid Tennis Master, and is a particularly popular venue for sports, leisure and cultural events.

An impressive array of services is made available to event organisers – ranging from the necessary to the more specialised – with an efficient and effective response guaranteed to meet type of market demand. Services include the rental of musical instruments, dressing rooms, microphones, video and photography, projectors and slide projectors, phones, comms lines (ISDN and ADSL), public address systems, medical services, catering and restaurants, and a cleaning service.

The superb Glass Pavillion or Palacio de Cristal has spectacular views of Madrid and an exhibition area of 20,000m2. This functional space can hold both small and large events. La Pipa Pavilion offers 8,000m2, a large surface area that is accessible from the outside by multiple access routes. There is also a 2500m2 patio; a complementary space often used as part of exhibits. The Convention Pavilion has a maximum capacity of 2000 people. It is the perfect venue for small to medium-sized conferences, meetings, and business meals that cater for up to 1000 diners.

The surface area of Al-Place XII is around 2,500m2 and is frequently used to support events being held in the Palacio de Cristal and La Pipa Pavilions. This particular site is able to exhibit heavy machinery, but can also efficiently host meetings, conferences, dinners and corporate events. The Authorities Pavilion theatre has successfully hosted concerts, seminars and conferences, and is renowned for its perfect acoustics. It can seat 660 and has an administration area, coat check and dressing rooms, sound booth, simultaneous interpretation booth, special stage lighting equipment, toilets, cafeteria with bar, as well as four emergency exits.

The Gastronomy Path is a new leisure area that has been inaugurated at the Casa de Campo Trade Fair Centre. Existing pavilions have been refurbished to augment the excellent range of gourmet dining opportunities already available. The surrounds of the refurbished pavilions have been freshly landscaped, and small car parks and children's play areas provided. This now makes the Paseo de la Gastronomía an attractive stopover for exhibitors, trade fair visitors, tourists and the general public.

The Casa de Campo is accessible both by metro and bus routes.
