Five Metro stops away finds you in Puerta del Sol, the heart of Madrid and geographic center of Spain. From there you are three short blocks from the Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. Enjoy your walk and stroll three more blocks to the Opera and Palacio Real. Don’t want to take the Metro? Ten minutes in a taxi has you at the front door of the Museo del Prado and Museo Thyssen across the street. From here you can stroll to the Centro de Arte Reina Sofia or take time off in the Retiro Park, one of the largest city parks in the world.
