Open since 1915, this elegant confectioner's shop owes its fame to a very particular product: violet sweets, whose name is due to their shape, their colour and that the essence of the flower is part of their ingredients.
This establishment, not far away from the Puerta del Sol aquare, has kept its original wooden façade and its jars and little boxes of sweets have always had loyal and illustrious customers, like Jacinto Benavente or Queen Victoria Eugenia.
Other typical products of this confectioner's shop are natural violets glazed with sugar, glazed fruit, chocolates and marrons glacés.

My 6 year old was given your candy by a friend. Our 6 year old has a
severe peanut/treenut allergy. Are the Las Violetas made in an area where
steps are taken to prevent direct contact with peanuts and nuts (gloves
changed, no shared equpiment without it having been cleaned between useage
w/nuts and this candy, etc.?

i simply became enchanted with store in a program of amaury jr,from
brazil.he showed store,i became crazy wanting candies...today my man is
going to buy some for me.he is from Oslo and i live in spaulo,imagien
distance to prove violets candies...wonderful!!

Fiquei encantada com o que vi no programa do Amaury...me deu água na boca
das delicias que se pode fazer com a flor de violeta. Espero que um dia
possa ir em Madri e degustar de tudo. Parabéns pela loja maravilhosa.

sabado dia 05 de fevereiro 2011 vi a propaganda desta loja fiquei muito
encantada nunca imaginei que pudesse fazer tanta coisa com as flores da
violeta adorei estão de parabens.

Such a charming store! These candies are the taste of Madrid! Don't get the
ones in the souvenir shops, go to this shop! It has the best Violet
Candies! It's worth the price and I plan to have these candies in my home
for the rest of my life! :)

Ontém na madrugada , vi uma reportagem que falava sobre a LA VIOLETA ,
fiquei encantada com as variedades , geléias , balas , colonias etc..
Gostaria muito de um dia ir a Madri e claro visitar essa casa .
