This cake shop was founded in 1830 with the name 'Horno de la Calle del Pozo', which referred to the street where this establishment is located and where it is said that there used to be a well into which relics of saints were thrown.

The shop itself shop is known mainly for its 'roscones de reyes' which is a ring-shaped sponge cake with sugar and glazed fruits, traditionally eaten in the days around Epiphany, although here they make them year round.

Another speciality are their flaky pastries filled with custard or pumpkin jam. Many other delicious products can be bought such as 'turron' or Spanish nougat, biscuits, pies or season sweets, in an atmosphere evocative of 19th century bakeries.
