Excellent marisco, or seafood, is widely available in Madrid and there's no better place than El Pescador to try it out.
Fresh seafood arrives daily in Madrid by the ton from Spain's coasts, to be distributed quickly to the hundreds of marisquerías or seafood restaurants.
In this respect, Spain's capital really is a dry port and enjoys the best quality produce straight from the sea.
For starters, try out the salpicón de mariscos (a sort of seafood salad with mussels, lobster, shrimp and onions in vinaigrette).
For your main course, try out the restaurant's speciality of lenguado Evaristo (house-style grilled sole), named after the owner.

Just come back from Madrid and please stay away from this rip-off
restaurant. The owners must be on a profit margin of 90%, as the seafood
and cost was way above anything else I have seen in Europe. I dont mind
paying good money for quality food, but this was basic seafood at caviar
prices!!

This is the biggest rip-off joint I have ever been to. The fresh seafood
is all priced by weight, and even gold would be cheaper. I had one
dublin-bay prawn(langoustine) - about 6 inches long including the legs -
which cost euro 25, 3 large red prawns about 3 inches long which cost euro
32. Even the cost of a whole kilo of langoustines is less in a fish
market. A dry bread roll added euro 2 to the bill and despite a note in
the menu that the prices all included service charge, an extra 10% was
added to the whole bill. Avoid this place unless you are a foolish
millionaire
