The cuisine of northern Spain fits well with the decoration in this restaurant, with multiple shades of blue and fishing motifs and ornaments on the walls. Salamar is a charming little restaurant which can seat up to fifty people. It has a friendly atmosphere, with a coastal feel to it, and serves Asturian cooking. As expected, the house specialities include shellfish from Galicia and fresh fish of the day as well as a multitude of rice dishes. Hake filled with prawns and wild mushrooms, a memorable dish of cod filled with lobster, scallops on a bed of ratatouille, a selection of cod delicias (cod croquettes, fritters and small bruchettas topped with cod brandade) are just some of the restaurant's most popular dishes. Its well balanced wine list offers various alternatives to accompany the menu and there are delicious home made desserts to round off the meal.
