Just outside Madrid,
there is a 450 metre indoor go-kart track where you can demonstrate your prowess behind the wheel
and get a taste of Formula 1 driving. There are 35 karts with a 270cc 4 speed engine, which is more than enough power to get the
adrenaline pumping - a great stag weekend activity.
It is possible to team up with a partner and have time trials in teams,
where at the start of the race the karts are lined up against a wall. The race coordinator
then gives the green light and you run the 10 yards to your go-kart, Le
Mans-style, jump in and your partner must
start your kart by pulling on the starter cord. Times are automatically recorded on the computer so that you cam monitor the progress
of each kart.
The pits looks like something out of a grand prix with each team trying to do the quickest changeover.
At the end of the time trial, the teams with the highest number of laps have a race-off to see who will go home with the biggest trophy.
Champagne then flows whilst your mates look on in envy.
